“Paddy Irish Whiskey owner Sazerac – one of the largest distilled spirits producers in North America – is close to acquiring Lough Gill Distillery in Co Sligo.
The price paid for the distillery – which was founded in 2014 by software entrepreneur David Raethorne – is understood to be in the tens of millions, with one source suggesting it could be more than €40m.”
