Andrew Healy - Bio

Andrew, a native of Dublin was raised in the village of Kilternan and recalls growing up in Ireland in the days when there were only two distilleries on the island. After graduating from culinary school in Dublin his journey took him around the world, working in and around the wine industry in five countries over three decades.

Over the course of the pandemic Andrew finally figured out what he wanted to do when he grew up, and in 2022 started his journey to learn as much as he could about Uisce Beatha.

He now hosts education and training events where he shares the wonders of spirits generally, and specifically Irish Whiskey, through his business Irish Whiskey LAD.

Andrew's education style focuses on "elevating the spirit" through pairing experiences that tie together the rich and diverse flavor profile of Irish Whiskey to deliver exquisite experiences.

Andrew lives in Napa, California with his wife Sandina, aka The Queen of Curls, and their pups Dolcé and Salato. He holds WSET Level 3 in Wines, WSET Level 2 in Spirits, and Irish Whiskey certifications.
