News: Irish Whiskey Makers Are Struggling to Meet a Surge in Global Demand [Bloomberg]

“The Irish whiskey industry, straining to meet robust demand, is raising the alarm over international supply-chain issues and rising costs which threaten to squeeze out smaller producers.

Global sales volumes grew more than 21% last year from 2020, the Irish Whiskey Association said in its annual trade report this week. The boom is continuing this year, with preliminary data showing a 38% jump in exports the first six months, it said.”
