News: Powerscourt pumps €25m into global growth [The Spirits Business]

“Irish whiskey producer The Powerscourt Distillery will invest €25 million (US$27.4m) into its global growth plans. The producer, which is based in Enniskerry, County Wicklow, Ireland, secured the loan from PNC Business Credit.

The capital will be used to boost the distillery’s production capabilities, enhance brand development and support the company’s expansion into new markets worldwide.

Roger Duggan, general manager of The Powerscourt Distillery, said: “Leveraging our substantial whiskey stocks makes great sense. It will enable us to continue growing at the pace we want and further develop our brand globally.”
