The Whiskey Smash Cocktail made with Powers Irish Rye Whiskey

This is my take on the classic Whiskey Smash which can be made with your whiskey of choice. I prefer to use Powers Irish Rye as I find that the wonderful spectrum of flavor in this whiskey - spice through sweet - works really well with the acid from the lemon, the sweetness from the Simple Syrup/Homemade Meyer Lemon-cello and the mint aromatics.
